curiosity about ADNM

Hi All,
I’m a new user of this forum and I have a question about ADNM.
can somebody explain to me why does not exist ADNM for Linux?
In my farm all the critical mission servers are running under Linux and the user workstation are running under Microsoft windows various versions, now every client download updates, but it would be very convenient if a server could only do a download from the Internet and then redistribute to all clients, there would be a big saving bandwidth and many fewer problems than proxy.
I think, indeed I am sure that many industrial realities are in my same situation, and having to manage a computer in windows just unable to manage the antivirus updates is inconvenient as well as less secure.
Will there ever be ADNM for Linux?
Sorry for my English and best regards to all

Welcome to the forums, jclark.

Your questions would be better asked and answered in the “avast! Distributed Network Manager” of the forums.

If you really mean ADNM (i.e. the console etc.), then I don’t think there ever will be a Linux version. It’s quite a lot of GUI stuff that would have to be completely rewritten - and I don’t think there are many potential customers.
If you’d mean the managed clients (i.e. the scanners that can be controlled by ADNM), then a Linux version is planned, as far as I know, but I’m afraid I have no idea when it might come out.
