So over the course of the past few weeks, I’ve noticed that at random times throughout the day i’ll just see the little Avast icon pop up into my taskbar, as if I just opened it. If I hover over it, it just says “loading” in the little preview box, but nothing actually opens if I click on it and it goes away in a few seconds. Is this a common occurrence? Or possibly something I should be concerned about?
Could you post a screenshot…!?
Kind of difficult to do that when it only happens at random times and only lasts a very short amount of time. Just has the Avast logo and when I scroll my mouse over it, the preview shows the grey/white Avast box with a “loading” in it. My Avast doesn’t seem to be interrupted when this happens, as it says everything is still active, so I don’t know what’s going on here.
OK, let us know if it still happens after a repair…
Repair Avast:
- Control Panel → Add/Remove programs → Avast
- Click on ‘Repair’.
- Follow instructions.
- Reboot.
Alright I did that. Not sure how i’m supposed to know if anything changed. Do you think it could be a virus, or some sort of glitch/installation error? If it could be a virus I might just reset my laptop.
Probably just a glitch, the repair should’ve fixed it. If not, let us know.
