Current Version of Virus Database

Hi,

i am a Avast newbie, and my english is not so perfectly.
My problem: When i make a IVAS-Update manuell or when Avast make a update automaticaly, the new Version does not indicate in “Current Version of Virus Database”. In Settings —> Updates —> Details —> Last IAVS Update: Today at …ist the perfect date of my update. Who can say to me, why the correct version is not indicated at Current Version of Virus Database?

The easiest way to check the iAVS details are by right clicking the avast icon in the system tray and select ‘About avast!..’

The current version is 0503-1 on 20/1/05. Is yours the same?

No, it’s 0502-4 16/01/05

Lates version is VPS file version 0503-2 released today (21st Jan 2005)

heinblöd, I suggest that you try an avast repair. Add Remove programs, avast! Anti-Virus, Change/Remove button and scroll down to Repair, click next and follow. You need to be on-line to do this.

Then try a manual update of the iAVS again.
