Custom Scan disappears even after app repair

I have set a custom scan that does a full scan everyday at 2am, and its been working for maybe a year now wherein I would see a result pop-up every morning.

Last week the pop-up stopped showing up, and I noticed that when I open Custom Scans, that my Daily Scan is gone. I’ve read somewhere in the forum that repairing the app should fix it, and it did.

But this morning, the pop-up didn’t appear, and after checking my custom scans, I found that the Daily Scan that I set wasn’t there again. History shows that a scan ran yesterday early morning, but not today. The scan didn’t find anything though.

I’ve also found that if you add another custom scan, and then repair the app, then both the original and new custom scans would appear together.

What should I do?

I’m curious why you’re running daily scans.
You obviously have a clean system. Everything you install or use is checked by Avast
so why run scans? Just curious.

Well… I’ve never really NOT run daily scans ever since. ;D

I leave my laptop on all the time, unless I’m not home, so I thought it made sense to run a full scan while I’m asleep.

No no no. Doing daily scans just eats your system resources, and I don’t recommend it in general.
