i got two questions … 1st: I am able to select all the normal screensavers thru the Avast! saver menu but the “black screen” saver wich is the one I intended to use … is there any possibillity to use this saver? 2nd: Can I hide the scanning-status window while the saver is running?

About the second question, no, it’s not possible. I’ve asked them in the past to a more configurable screen saver module. For instance, change the background and text color, font settings, define the position (static) for the scanning window message…
They never listened me 
Maybe, it’s not a priority for an antivirus 8)
I’ve found a workaround ;D
You must download the free PowerControl ScreenSaver 1.02e
It’s a screen saver control tool. Then you choose in the sequence:
avast screensaver > PowerControl and then, into Power Control, choose Blank screen.
You can configure other options with PowerControl, including, the default Windows screen saver, the one that is loaded before any user logon 8)
