Daily reminder of my subscription is close to ending

Fot the past week I’ve been notified by a red reminder about my subscription is getting close to expire. I have the Free version. I clicked on it and gave all necessary info and still not heard from them…to reregister. I even told them that when I got avast originally, it was under a different email address that I no longer have, and gave them the new one…still no response obviously even to my new address…spam column and all. I would like to keep it.

While I wonder why Alwil didn’t send you an e-mail explaining the procedure, getting and installing the key is still a “do-it-yourself” proposition. :wink:

In my experience the re-registration procedure every 14 or so months is not a difficult process and has worked flawlessly for me every time (the last time a couple of months ago). I re-register and the email response has been almost instant in my email.

Changes of email address are not an issue. What may be an issue is your mail provider being over zealous in spam filtering. Please check the spam folder of your mail account carefully. Otherwise you may wish to consider using a alternate email account (even if it means getting a free one - such as GMail).

Thank you…all done…just one question. It says it would not remind me to re-register till 14 months, so how come Mine was expiring only after a couple of months? That is as long as I had Avast for the first time…definitely not 14 months.

Did you add the registration code into avast?
Go to the SSL page version and register from there: https://secure.avast.com/scripts/register.php?lang=ENG

Well the 60 day unrestricted use with the trial key appears to be what was keeping the registration in date. If you didn’t register or enter the registration key the registration would laps after 60 days, so that seems to fall in line with your comment about a couple of months.

The main thing is that everything is now ‘all done’ and I presume OK.
