I use avast pro and recently re-installed fresh. There is a debug.log on my desktop that says it cannot be deleted as it is in use. anyway to delete it?
Did you do a custom install of avast! and select “Single Management Connector”?
If not, have you enabled show hidden files/known file types in Windows?
Perhaps a reboot may make it go away if neither of the 2 above were done.
Are you sure this is even an avast issue, as far as I’m aware if you enable debugging (avastUI > Settings > General LOGS - did you ?) then I would have thought it would have been with the other avast logs - C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\AVAST Software\Avast\log or C:\ProgramData\AVAST Software\Avast\log - not on the desktop.
If it is the avast debug.log, you could A) disable the debug option, B) try temporarily disabling avast from the tray icon (avast! shield control) or C) you may also need to disable the avast self defence module - avastUI > Settings > Troubleshooting.
