I was charged AUD$99.99 for standard Avast auto-renewal by Nexway when the price for the standard Avast in Australia (where I am) is $69.99 and the premier version is $99.49.
So that’s a 43% mark-up! What grubs you are.
I can purchase the product as a new buyer for $69.99 and you want me to pay $99.99? Are you that stupid to think I’m that stupid?
Nexway’s email response to my query was: The 69.99 was a special price offered for last year 2016. The 99.99 is the current price of the renewal.
Please arrange for a refund of the full amount you deducted from my credit card. I will no longer be using Avast software since you are not being honest in your dealings with me. If I can’t trust you here how can I trust your software.
So, you write to Nexway and then say “This is not so according to your own web site”.
That is not the Nexway website but the one from avast and those are two different companies.
What subscription do you have ? (years, amount of pc’s)
AUD 99,99 is for 1 year, 3 pc’s.
I do not know about that, but if you search Ebay for Avast! , there are at least 50 offers between $5 and $20
Sure, but many of them are not legitimate.
And if you are even able to find a legitimate one, the subscription will not be registered to buyer...
Eddy, who, in his own mind would pay $99.9 for an antivirus
Let's say that 0,01% of the people who do give me 1 cent today, I would be a millionaire tonight.
You might just as well ask “Who is paying for Windows if you can get a OS legally for free?”
If you buy a new system and it comes with Windows, you have paid for Windows as well, not just the system.
In the last 12 years I NEWER bought my antivirus online or retail, always from Ebay , always legitimate and at a fraction of cost (usually up to 5 $ , 1-3 pc’s 1-3 years)
ALWAYS.
