I run a Windows 7 operating system which is sporadically crashing on me to a blue screen saying that it had to shut down to prevent damage to the computer. At the bottom of this screen, it shows as cleaning the memory. I took the laptop to the local Mom-and-Pop computer store who supposedly went through the computer and cleaned out the viruses. Despite their efforts, the crashes have persisted seemingly randomly. Since then, with a few Avast definitions updates on board, I perform a boot time scan which consistently points out decompression bombs. Any suggestions?
