When installing avast, it always takes very much time to configure all the expert settings “action” to something like: 1 ask 2 repair 3 move to chest as they are set by default to something else not practicable here.

Is there a possibility to set all the actions at once?

And other question: is’n there a possiblity to “block access” without moving the affected file(s) to chest, but just inhibiting it from been opened so that it can easily made possible to stop blocking of that affected file(s). Sure that this is an expert-setting.

The better will be 1) repair 2) ask 3) move to Chest (at least, choose move to Chest before direct deleting).

avast always block the access to malware even you did not move to Chest or take any other action.

Hey Tech, this is exactly what I want to do.

Did you do it? Was this change retained?

When I do it, I hit ok, then return to the same configuration page, and all settings done before are restored to the original factory settings. I complained about this before, but no one did anything. It happened with version 7, and now with version 8 build 1483. How did you do it?

Well, you’re asking in two places the same issue.
What I can imagine is that avast! is not being able to save the settings. Can you try disabling the self-defense module and see what you get?
