DELAY IN RESPONDING TO SUPPORT TICKETS

How long does it take for Avast! to respond to a support ticket? I was told on the helpline (which was completely unhelpful!) that I’d have a reply within two business days, but that was nearly two weeks ago. Anyone else had this problem?

Why don’t you just ask your support question here as this is the avast support forum

Well, because when another person raised pretty much the same issue on the forum (see http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=143751.msg1043915), they were advised to send in a support ticket, so it would come to the same thing wouldn’t it?

Reported to a Moderator. Hope it helps.

Many thanks Bob3160. I hope something comes of it. Will post again to let you know.

So it’s not just me then. Thought not! Wonder what happens to all those tickets …

Still no response. This is really the most shoddy service I’ve come across in a long time. How could anyone recommend this outfit? Minded to switch to another AV program, despite several years of using Avast.

I suggest to purchase from a reseller, as my clients do not have this issue!

Many thanks for your advice. Unfortunately, I’ve already bought a new license for the wretched thing. The issue is over my losing 30 days cover that was left on my previous license, despite an assurance given in a renewal reminder e-mail that this wouldn’t happen.

Let me know when it is up, and I’ll make it up to you!

It’s a renewed license for Avast Internet Security which was supposed to expire on 7 June 2015, to allow for the 30 days still left on my old license at the time of renewal, but, in fact, expires on 8 May 2015, 12 months from the date of purchase.

I can confirm that we are way behind the standard 2 days for a reply. We are trying our best to resolve and answer all incoming tickets. We will get to you soon.
Our delay won’t affect your refund period…

thank you for patience
Lukas

Many thanks, Lukas.

Dear Lukas,

Thanks you for letting us have the heads up, sir. We did not make it to Prague )-: for the last reseller meeting. We are really looking forward to the new Endpoint. Have a great Memorial Day weekend.

Sincerely,
