hi everybody

i have problem with avast internet security & anti virus version (5.0.507)

Delayed appear partitions when open My Computer About 5 or 4 seconds

Any other security program that could interfere? Which was your old antivirus (before avast)?

• AVIRA antivirus and i uninstall it

• i uninstall avast 5.0.507 and Tried to open My Computer … Opened quickly and the problem Disappeared

• when i install avast 5.0.462 … but returned the same problem ???

• first time i use avast

After you use Add/Remove, you should use Avira Antivir RegistryCleaner as well as the appropiate “Uninstallation Package”, both of which can be found at: http://www.avira.com/en/support/support_downloads.html

Do you by chance have a floppy drive? Avast 5 Pro and AIS seem to scan the floppy drive every time My Computer or Windows Explorer are opened. This causes a delay in populating the drives. See this post http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=56006.0

i used it to clean registry before i install avast and i used also

• regfinder << also to clean registry

The only workaround until ALWIL fixes the problem is to disable your floppy drive in the system bios or device manager.

It’s a workaround, not the final word of the developers.

Alwil is a serious company.
They never call a workaround as a final solution.
They acknowledge the problems (although sometimes they correct them silently).
