Delete PUP programs from archive

Is there anyway to not have a PUP file deleted from an archive? I had a ZIP file and one of the entries was 7Z - an executable. I was attempting to unzip the file when a message popped up asking me what to do. There was no option like “Do Nothing” but there was an option to send the file to you. I did that and then hit cancel in the hopes I would not lose my file. No such luck. It’s not fatal but it is a hassle. I notice that if there is a PUP not in an archive then there is an option to “do nothing”. I may not be doing something right or selecting the wrong option so I appreciate any help. Thanks.

have you tried turn off PUP detection

Sure I did. But that eliminates me being able to make a decision about whether or not I want to purge the file from an archive.
