delete virus without warning popup?

Hi,

when avast found a possible thread, it will pop a window and ask what to do, such as chest it, leave it, delete it, … how can I set it, so it will always delete the thread and will not pop the window? is it possible in free version?

What free version do you have…the old v4.8 or the new v5.0?

Are you talking of Avast 5?

Did you change the settings? You or somebody else must have changed the default settings because what you ask for are already set as default actions & simply a notice of the action is provided to you.

Go to File System shield - Expert settings - Actions & set your requirements there.
The default ones are - 1st action is Move to chest, 2nd is Delete, 3rd is No Action

If you’re using avast! 5, just enable Silent Mode. avast! will still perform its job as before, it’s just that it will not display any popup.

Yes, it’s possible. Set the actions into 5.0.418 shields settings.
It’s NOT a good idea the direct deletion of the file. Sending to Chest allow further investigation and even restoring the file.
