I’ve got Avast 4.0 Home. When I run a full system sweep Avast finds several files infected with Netsky. However, to remove them all, I have to sit in front of my laptop for ages and wait for each warning to appear one by one and remove each occurance. How do I set Avast to continue to sweep the system, pick up all infections and then present me with a list of all infected files found and THEN allow me to remove all the infections in one go? This way I can let a system scan continue over night and in the morning remove all detected viruses.
Me, I hate automation of this type of thing, I want to know what is going on in my system, what it is, where it is, etc. Much of this information is displayed in the warning windows.
Some old General once said, time spent in reconnaissance is seldom wasted, the same I feel is true about your system.
With the home version, I don’t believe that it will automatically delete the files (some may be in memory and/or in use), only send them to the chest (silent mode). Some may be false positives or files that you wouldn’t want to delete automatically, but investigate first.
