deleting

I’ve got hundreds of files that came in from morpheus that I didn’t download and results say are infected. Is there a way to remove them in batches? I just got the home version of avast the results showed that over 14 hundred files were infected.

In the results window, you can select them all and choose “Delete”.
However, the number is really big… what are the names of the reported viruses?

yes…please list some examples of those files…this is weird if morpheus downloaded them itself…but not too sure coz i never try morpheus

what version of avast are u using and what’s your operating system?

I’ve use Morpheus but 1400 infected files? Somethings not right. I know they couldn’t all be from morpheus.

jim,

There are other ways to delete the files in “batch”, but that depends on what the filenames are…and their extensions.

If they are similar or even better the same extensions, then do a Search run. Alphabetize them by clicking on the Name tab at the header, then when you find the “grouping” use Shift and down arrow to highlight…then delete.

PS: I also doubt that you have 1400 infected files.
