DELL Laptop Keyboard Problem

I bought a Dell laptop yesterday but when I press the keys marked as >< I get `~ instead?

I went to the shop again and found out that all the Dells there have the same problem and the salesman didn’t have a clue on what to do and told me that i cannot replace it.

Or is this just normal in any Dell laptop?

Dell Inspiron 17R no problems here either.

It sounds like a different language/keyboard is selected. In the status bar
(and/or in the language bar in the Windows Taskbar), does it say
something other than EN? Certain key combinations can switch the language if you have
multiple languages installed.

What language is your keyboard set up for ?

As I have the problem when my keyboard is set for US - I need to change it to UK for it to work

Also have a DeLL PC ( No laptop ). Bought in the States with Spanish OS and Spanish Keyboard and it was set to International Spanish. The keyboard did not mark the right sign or letter Ñ . I had to set the keyboard to Spanish Venezuela for it to work properly.
