I would like to kno if dell memor is better than its computer or if all of dell’s stuff sucks.

Hi mouniernetwork,

As far as I know Dell doesn’t manufacture its own memory. The Dells I’ve had open typically have Samsung PC800 RDRAM. Ram running at 800 Mhz with a built in heat sink is pretty high end but the down side is it’s significantly more expensive than more common memory.

Well the one I 'm talking about is Dell Memory at least thats what the sickers says on the memory Stick.

Dell get their memory made for them and you may need to purchase ram specifically for your Dell PC model if you intend to upgrade it.

This is one of the many “cons” of buying brand-name computers. Many of the components are specifically made for that brand and/or model. :frowning:
This limits the ability to upgrade unless those upgrades are bought from the brand manufacturer … which is usually much higher priced than is needed. >:(

Have a look at crucial.com, they supply RAM for any big brand PC. You can either use their tool that checks your RAM or you can select by manufacturer and model.
