DELTA HOMES PUP

I’ve just spent most of my day trying to remove Delta homes from my PC. It’s a PUP which Avast apparently does not recognise or remove. I also paid $29 for Sparktrust PC cleaner Plus, which claims to remove this type of item. It scans and removes all so called items, then I rescan and it finds more and more and more. I’ve followed directions on the Net but no matter what I do Delta Homes stays on my PC. Anyone know how to remove it without me having to reformat my pc and start again?

follow this guide and attach logs…not copy and paste http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=53253.0

run in order listed
AdwCleaner / Malwarebytes / OTL / aswMBR

when done, malware experts will be notified and help you
when finish, all tools used will be removed

and the help is free.

Having problems replying with attachments. problem with Delta homes seems to be cured.

do you have AdwCleaner and Malwarebytes log?

hope these are the correct ones.

yepp … and wow, you had lots of crap in your browser

malware removers are notified, it may take some time before they arrive so check back later

Hi you are better off using the free tools on offer, they tend to do a better job and are dirt cheap

[*]Then click the Run Fix button at the top
[*]Let the program run unhindered, reboot the PC when it is done
[*]Open OTL again and click the Quick Scan button. Post the log it produces in your next reply.

Copied and pasted commands, and initiated OTL which has now been running for 1 hour. The only indication that anything is happening is the hour glass is displayed. For some reason the commands I copied and pasted do not show in full???
I am posting this via another pc

just abort it…
it is possible that Malwarebytes is blocking OTL so uninstall it, then try to run OTL fix again

if no success Essexboy will be back online later today…

That worked. hope this is the right file.

Is delta still present ? If so in which browser is it showing ?

No sign of delta since first run.

Subject to no further problems

I will remove my tools now and give some recommendations, but, I would like you to run for 24 hours or so and come back if you have any problems

Now the best part of the day ----- Your log now appears clean

Now that you are clean, to help protect your computer in the future I recommend that you get the following free programmes:

Malwarebytes.

Update and run weekly to keep your system clean

Download and install FileHippo update checker and run it monthly it will show you which programmes on your system need updating and give a download link

If you use on-line banking then as an added layer of protection install Trusteer Rapport

It is critical to have both a firewall and anti virus to protect your system and to keep them updated. To keep your operating system up to date visit
