Demo license on setup?

I recently downloaded the avast and got it set up. i asking for a registration key. I have the free version for my home PC and i dont have one. i did give me the option of the “demo” version (which i chose). its telling me i have 45 days left on it. 2 questions:

1. did i pick the wrong option
2. where will i go to get a new registration key when this demo key expires.

I think you have the right version. Just right-click on the Avast-ball down at the tray area, and choose About avast! , and there you can see your version.
