Demo Stub Virus Please Help ASAP!!!!!

Hello,

I just installed Avast Free Antivirus for my android phone, scanned and got this virus, this cannot be uninstalled, I have tried several times to try and uninstall this app but I cannot uninstall this, this pops up as a trojan (demo stub Android:Agent-ISZ [Trj])

Can you please tell me either if this is a false positive or not?

If not, then how can I delete this?

some other user reporting the same problem, accourding to the topic it should be a false threat.

try update to the latest database of your andriod advice if you have not. did it solve your problem?

Actually, the last reply in the post you linked talks about this trojan and the user asks if it is a false positive, but no one in the post confirms in the linked post that it is indeed a false positive.

Please let me know if it is a false positive.

Also I dont know what happened but I rescanned my phone once again and it found no virus, this is strange, first I couldnt uninstall it but now when I rescanned my phone it says there are no viruses on it. Does this mean that it is a false positive?

I dont get what happened, can someone please help?

Pondus what do you mean by link for the app?
i assume you can download the detected program from somwhere? .... as most programs can, you downloaded avast ;)

Hello,

Thank you for your response, I really appreciate it.

From the research I have done about this Application is that it comes with the phone, and I dont ever remember installing an application called “demo stub”.

I did not even update my Avast Antivirus, just did a re-scan of the phone and it did not detect the virus, which is weird.

I would like to ask you: What should I do next?

Is this case closed, its a false positive, I guess?
