One of our laptops got hit with this malware to a point where it is asking for a password on the startup screen. No one created a password and the administrator user does not show up in the safe mode either. I have followed the steps outlined by essexboy and I am uploading the frst.txt here. I’m a little unsure of what to do next. I would like to try things out first before I have to reformat the drive and start over. I would appreciate any help from this forum after someone reads through the frst.txt.
hey i would suggest you follow this guide and attach your logs.

Thanks for the quick reply. I’m still unsure of what to do. Am I suppose to run all the programs that is on the link and upload all the logs? I cannot get into the infected computer since it is now asking for a password and no password was set. I followed the direction that essexboy had on this forum regarding this malware and have uploaded the frst.log as requested.
Ok then wait untill essexboy responses.

Run OTL and hit the cleanup button. It will remove all the programmes we have used plus itself.
We will now confirm that your hidden files are set to that, as some of the tools I use will change that
[*]Click Start.
[*]Open My Computer.
[*]Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
[*]Select the View Tab.
[*]Under the Hidden files and folders heading select Do not show hidden files and folders.
[]Click Yes to confirm.
[]Click OK.
