I am new to Avast and need some guidance. I have installed the Avast Enterprise on a windows 2008r2 machine. I launched the EAC, Created an installation packages, and ran the discovery package to find the computers. I can push the application to the remote windows 7 desktop with no problems. But when I launch it on the desktop it say’s it is in trial mode that will expire in 29 days).
I launched the AEA maintenance tool and it has the license for 2500 devices. I’m not sure what what I am doing wrong. Any help is appreciated.
None of the management consoles of avast! pushes the license along-side the installation.
The license is later pulled from the management servers by the deployed client.
What you all need to do is to check, whether these machines are shown-up as online in the management console.
If they are, you don’t have to worry about them - they will pull the license soon.
If they are not, you will have to look into the avast! log files and let us know what do you see there.
The log files are located in: “C:\ProgramData\AVAST Software\Avast\log” or “C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\AVAST Software\Avast\log”. The later is for Windows 2003 and Windows XP systems.
In the above directories you should find the “avastNet.log” or “entAgent.log” file depending on the management console that you use i.e. “avast! Small Office Administration” or “avast! Enterprise Administration”. Let us know what they say, so we could help you further.

When you say server address…do you mean the ip of the 2012 windows server? Or are you referring to the SQL installation that installs with the Avast install?
Yes I am referring to the IP of the server which hosts the management console.
However this address should be provided to the Installation Package you use for deployment.
Open AEA > Installation Packages. Find the package you use for deployment and check its properties.
