I am just beginning to roll out Avast to our network and have used the deployment tasks successfully to a number of machines already, for some reason i have a workstation where the install succeeds but it does not show as connected on the SOA Admin Panel.
I have also done a couple of standalone installers with the server address input in but again will not connect and show as managed. Are there any settings where i can force connect or at least run a test connection to the machine running the SOA Admin Panel?
Are there any logs i can take a look at other than the aswRInst as checked this log already.
Any help or advise you can give would be welcomed.
We have ping requests blocked on this server but have other ports open to allow connection through the network and can access the server by name. It is strange how some workstations have no problems syncing with ASOA but other workstations will not connect.
You could try changing the way you address the server… On the problem client, under settings, troubleshooting, avast! administration console: change from server name to IP address, verify the port (default is 25322) and see if it can communicate with the SOA server that way…
