A minor point but I can’t explain it…
After upgrading to 4.5 from 4.5beta and rebooting I noticed that the apperance of the desktop icon had changed slightly. It was a subtly different graphic.
Fair enough - but next time I started my computer I noticed that the desktop icon had reverted back to the ‘old’ one - anybody else noticed this?
BTW - I’m not referring to the ‘taskbar’ icon - just the desktop one.
Yes, it’s different (two different icons) one a darker blue and the ‘a’ appears blurred and the other one (that you usually see first) more like a larger systray icon.
I never bothered with a desktop icon with 4.1, but the update to 4.5 put one there by default.
It’s cosmetic, hardly worth worrying about. I’m sure it will have no adverse effect and will be sorted eventually.
I have installed the new version of Avast both ways…update the old version, and clean install. On the updated install, the desktop icon remained the same. On the fresh clean install, the desktop icon was the newer icon.
However, on my wifes PC, I did the program upgrade to 4.5, and she got the new icon.
