can somebody can help me in removing desktop.ini. i have already tried avast system scan but the system gets switched off when it searches system 32/config/TxR… Are these two related. I am using Windows 7.

Do you mean that the desktop ini opens in notepad when the system starts ? If so I have a fix for that
