Desktop Outlook fails to retrieve mail with Avast One

Outlook worked fine using NordVPN with Kaspersky Cloud anti-virus. Uninstalled Kaspersky and installed Avast One (Free). Outlook stopped retrieving mail, saying it could not connect. Turning off either NordVPN or email Guardian restores Outlook connectivity. NordVPN and NordLynx have been set as trusted apps and connection. No problem using AvastVPN, but 5gb limit/week is not going to work for me and I already have a paid subscription to NordVPN. Any ideas on how I can get Outlook to talk to my mail providers using NordVPN and email Guardian?

Thanks for the info. Tried turning Email Guardian off and on, but that doesn’t help. I’ll leave the Guardian off and try again in 2 weeks when I get back in town.

As of today, Email Guardian still blocking Outlook 2021 from receiving messages. Any progress on a fix? It’s been 5 months since your programmers were “looking into it”.

There have been 3 or 4 program updates since your first post.

Note I’m not using Avast One.
What Avast program version and build number are you using ?
The current version I have on my Avast Antivirus Free is, avast! free 22.10.6038 (build 22.10.7633.734)

Sorry for the delay in replying. I have the latest build of Avast One and still can’t use the Guardian. Build number attached as picture.

Not using Avast One I’m a bit like a one legged man in an ar5e kicking contest, sorry.

All I have been able to do is a google search, for Avast One Email Guardian FAQ site: avast.com - https://support.avast.com/en-gb/article/email-guardian-faq/#pc

And I haven’t seen r@vast active in the forums since November, so I don’t know if he is still with Avast or not.
