detecting keyloggers... not working

why will avast NOT detect spectorsoft pro installation… i know it’s there but it is totally invisible to avast and mcafee and nortons!!! help with detection and removal… thanks

Well since this appears to be a legit program (I assume installed by the owner of the computer) and it should come with an add remove programs entry.
How did it get on your system ?

Records Emails, Chats, IMs, Web Sites, Programs Run, Keystrokes Typed, Peer to Peer File Sharing, Screen Snapshots - Plus - Offers Internet Access Blocking and Instant Notification Alerts.
So its a little more than a simple key logger. http://www.spectorsoft.com/products/SpectorPro_Windows/ From this is doesn't appear to be the sort of thing that would get installed accidentally or without your knowledge.

Ok, I just downloaded it, and Avast does detect it. Hmm?

It may be that avast is able to detect elements of it in the download file but once installed is somehow hidden from view.

Could be…
This is the ‘only’ uncrackable application some ‘experts’ that continues to chanlenge hackers…
I mean, how do these guys connect the Internet and monitor all that is happening when a firewall, an antivirus, an antispyware, etc. detects nothing!
If you want an antipiracy feature, ask the ones who make this piece of software… there isn’t a crack for it.
For a security expert, here is a mistery… ::slight_smile:

There is such a possibility, yes…

I’ve posted about this software before and its antipiracy features…
