Detection looping drives me nuts

I’m reporting this once again.
Whenever i extract malware from archive (on desktop) to my desktop and avast! detects it, it falls into some kind of infinite loop of detections. It keeps on detecting file even if you click Delete or Move to chest. I pretty much doubt it’s archive specific because it happened too many times, even between re-imaged partiton with Windows XP SP2.

Exact steps to reproduce this bug:

  1. I downloaded archive to desktop (erun.zip, password protected)
  2. I extract it with 7-zip using Extract here context menu command
  3. I enter password to unpack it when dialog asking for it shows
  4. avast! detects the file and i click Delete
  5. File still appears to be there and avast! once again shows the same detection warning
  6. I click Delete once again and i get File deletion error dialog in avast!
  7. Click Ok in it and virus detection dialog shows again
  8. Part from point 4-7 keeps repeating until i click No action
  9. I have to use Refresh command on desktop to visually remove file from desktop
  10. At this point infinite loop breaks and doesn’t happen again

I can send you the archive, but as i mentioned that probably won’t make any real difference.

Can you copy&paste (here) the full file path from the virus dialog in points 4 and 5? What’s the exact error in point 6?

Point 4:
C:\Documents and Settings\RejZoR\Desktop\erun.exe

Point 5:
C:\Documents and Settings\RejZoR\Desktop\erun.exe
