Detection rate

If you watched yesterday video of cudgelwap1 you will then see how avast’s detection rate increasing → about 3 weeks ago avast! can’t detect program named “Testing prog”. Now yes, and other malware as well. BTW I want to see AV-comparatives and what they will say now muhaha ;D (I hope that lovely avast! will get advanced+ again!). And I want to know if Avast! can detect very dreaded malware named “Fake MSE”? It’s very hard to detect. Anyway good work with detection last days. I also like autosandbox but can you, avast! developers make it seperate from file system shield? I mean, when FS is disabled, autosandbox is also disabled then.
So, Thumbs up for avast! :wink:

There is no meaning on disabling file shield… avast (or any other antivirus on acess) should be on.
The autosandbox is file shield dependent.
The sandbox (on demand) isn’t, and so, it’s a separate feature only in the paid version.

Malware is rewritten everyday. There is a new version of the fake MSE coming out everyday. Thats how these rogue keep coming back. I have seen a pc hit 4 times by the same rogue “System Security 2010”.

Rogues are disgusting ones. I recommend you to use Malwarebytes Anti-Malware with Avast. It’s a very powerful tool against rogues. Here’s the link: http://www.malwarebytes.org/.

wooow… ::slight_smile:
look at my signature…
On-demand: Malwarebytes
::slight_smile:

I just suggest It because of dumbs who don’t know that It’s needed to have FS enabled for autosandbox feature…

Yes it’s true. But I asked If the avast! can detect fake MSE rogue…

MBAM Free is all you need for on demand scanning.

Autosandboxing is the frontend… If people disable the on access protection, well, there is nothing more you can help them… Oh, yes, help cleaning :slight_smile:

And if Avast detects the fake MSE rogue today…Then what about tomarrow when the code changes? Keeping with chaning malware is a fight you will never win.

@dieselman sorry a bit off topic but i like your quote

Thanks and its 100% the truth. 80% of malware infections are user caused.
