Did I get all the trojans?

I think iv’e dealt with some trojans using avast bootscan and MBAM on two computers.

Here are some names :

Win32:Malware-gen
Win32:Shutdowner-cd [PUP]
Win32:Hupigon-ONX [Trj]

System file hiberfil.sys was hit with the Hupigon on my second computer, was unable to delete it but a new scan of the file shows nothing.

Clean scans on MBAM logs, but I want to look deeper and don’t have the expertise. So, here are the OTS logs.

Second computer

welcome to the forum.

i suggest you try a boot scan with avast on the two computers and see if avast is able to dell with the malware through there.

what version of avast are you using?
what os do you have?
witch files have been detected as malware from avast?

this questions are good if you post a reply on if avast is not able to dell with malware through the boot scan.

a second option to malwarebytes could be superantispyware. witch sometimes finds malware that malwarebytes misses.

good luck and lets us know how it goes.

Hi first thing to do is disable Hibernation and after reboot enable hibernation (if you wish it to run ) There are instructions here http://www.opentutorial.com/Disable_hibernation_in_windows_xp

I can see nothing untoward in OTS, after hibernation is reset can you let me know what problems you are experiencing please

Thanks for the help.

I’m using windows XP, with the latest free version of Avast.

I disabled hibernation and did another bootscan. Nothing turned up.

So I’m pretty sure avast and MBAM got everything, because I’m not noticing any problems.

Again, thanks for going over this and checking those logs.

No problem - run OTS and hit the cleanup button and it will disappear ;D
