I installed a program called PrivitizeVPN but found it not working so i removed it but it was still under connections… )I don’t know if avast blocks it because right now on this old pc avast worked ok but the laptop was being a little slow so i removed it and put MSE till i get a new laptop in march…)
I watched a youtube video on how to remove it so i did remove the connections key for it, and removed it from IE’s dial up tab… I don’t see it under connections icon no more but I’m wondering is the program a type of malware I did a forum search and saw some stuff about it. Is there a way i can make sure i removed it like 100% any traces of it off this machine?
hey and welcome to the forum.
how did you remove the privitize VPN? through the add/remove option in windows?
avast would be a better option to use then MSE but its your call.
have the computer been slow in general or do you think you could be infected with malware?
how did you uninstall avast same as above? or the removing tool?
what os you using and how much ram the computer have?
I have always been on the forum by the way ![]()
No my computer hasn’t been slow and i did remove it via add and remove programs. Avast I did remove it in add and remove programs. The reason i posted this topic was because i am worried that privitizeVPN was malware… Can anybody tell me if it is or not?
It is a grey area as it will produce ad popups and may change your default search engine
Thanks for telling me that Essexboy. ![]()
