i want to manage roundabout 40 w2k pcs with DNM. finally we got rid of norton and bought avast. 
but there are still some strange things:
installation of DNM with MSDE worked fine. but the SQL tray icon says: unkown sql server and i cannot add any server ip and service name. AMS maintainance “check db” says: database ok. hhmm.
loggin into adnm console works fine, changing password also. did a first try to built a netinstall package, looked up my local network and finally wanted to distribute the file to my ibm laptop via netinstall. connection comes up - and bummer: adnm console looses connection to server. ??? thus i cannot restart the sql database "unknown handle, error 6) i have to restart my computer running avast server.
loggin’ in again works fine, trying to start the task again - same problem…
