differentia/disorderstatus continuous avast alert

Hi everyone

Could someone help me to stop these two popping messages? It all started after I reinstalled avast because I was trying to restore my computer and it didn’t allow me to do it. During the avast installation progress I connected an usb memory (that I used some days ago to take some documents to a stationery shop) to add some files, and after the intallation progress avast has started to show these alerts.

At this moment I have downloaded Malware Bites-Antimalware, and it is doing a analysis. What should I do now?

Your USB stick is infected

Download MCShield to your desktop and install
It will initially run a scan and show the result as a toaster by the system clock
Then in the control centre select scanner and tick unhide items on flash drives

Plug in the drive and McShield will start a scan

Then get the log which will be located under the logs tab on the main page

And post that

First of all, thanks for your attention to this matter. I’ve followed all the steps you said. I canceled the Malwarebytes Anti-Malware analysis and the aswmbr analysis (they were going to last a lot). I got two different results for the MCSHIELD analysis. The first one (before FRST restored the computer) showed no malware on the stick, but the second one (done automatically by the program when the system initiated) showed and destroyed a malware in it. I attach the two results, and the FRST log file. During all the process the stick has been plugged in. Until now, the alert has not popped again.

Can I keep using the usb stick normally? Should I do anything else?

The computer is behaving well. The alert has not appeared again. MCShield doesn’t recognize any malware in the stick anymore. But MCShield showed an alert when the stick was unplugged (I attach the screenshot). Also, the mail app for windows 8 doesn’t initiate. I’m going to uninstall it and download it again.

Once again, thanks for your help. I use the computer for college and I couldn’t afford to lose it for some time. I think I won’t go again to that stationery shop. ;D

You unplugged the drive just as MCShield was about to test it so not a problem

I will remove my tools now and give some recommendations, but, I would like you to run for 24 hours or so and come back if you have any problems

Now the best part of the day ----- Your log now appears clean

A good workman always cleans up after himself so…The following will implement some cleanup procedures as well as reset System Restore points:

Remove tools

Download and run Delfix
Select the options as shown

I would recommend that you completely uninstall Java unless you need it to run an important software.
In that instance I would recommend that you disable Java in your browsers until you need it for that software and then enable it. (See How to diasble Java in your web browser and How to unplug Java from the browser)

If you do need to keep Java then download JavaRa
Run the programme and select Remove Java Runtime. Uninstall all versions of Java present
Once done then run it again and select Update Java runtime > Download and install Latest version
