I need to completely disable Avast - not just the realtime shields, but completely disable/shut down the entire program.
I know the general rule is to never disable the antivirus - this is an exception to the rule. I’m a student; in order to type my exams, I have to use a program that locks my computer. This program is conflicting with Avast - avast won’t let the program lock the computer, the program won’t run if the computer isn’t locked, and I can’t take the exam. I can disable my wireless while avast is down, and enable it after the exam is over and Avast is back up and running.
My question is simple: Can avast be completely disabled/shut down? If so, how?
