it seem that I am still getting the error message after a scan"Disk C: Boot Record: unable to scan, the system cannot find the file specified", all is running fine, updating fine its just the scan and a unexpected reboot, can’t I set it not to scan the boot record or just don’t scan at all. I have it set to scan at night daily. In respond is welcome
Please, don’t post twice the same, or will double the effort of help.

Its not the same if you read it, its asking to disable the scan of the boot record because I was getting the same error as before which I never did get any help but its okay still, thanks
Sorry, didn’t realize that.
I think there isn’t a place to add the boot record as an exclusion for scanning.
Maybe you should test your machine with anti-rootkit applications. I suggest avast! antirootkit or Trend Micro RootkitBuster.
Thanks for your help and suggestion but what is the anti-rootkit appl. and which one and do I install and run?
It’s a scanner for rootkits (hidden virus).
Choose one that is compatible with your operational system. Among them, test avast antirootkit.
