If Avast 9 settings are password protected, is it disable avast service or even uninstall it from command line, if the password is known?
As far as I’m aware this isn’t possible (e.g. no such command line function, or passage of any password) or advisable.
If you could uninstall by command line, there would be nothing to stop malware doing the same.
You can boot into safe mode, and then use the avast! removal tool, that will work!
