"disable until computer is restarted" doesn't work?

I just got a Windows update couple days ago which updated Windows 10 to a new build version. (May 10, 2016 - KB3156421 (OS BUILD 10586.318))
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-ca/windows-10/update-history-windows-10

But now I notice the option “disable until computer is restarted” in Avast is not working. I select that option but upon reboot the shields are still disabled and I have to restart them manually.

Anyone else have this problem?

Perform a repair of avast.
If that doesn’t solve the problem, perform a clean installation of the latest avast version.

Repair Avast:
Control Panel> Program and Features (Add/remove program)>Select Avast> Select Repair. Reboot when completed
https://www.avast.com/faq.php?article=AVKB204
If Repair doesn’t fix the problem, try the following:
Clean Install of Avast:

Thanks. A repair fixed the problem. Wish I backed up my settings though as I had to readd exclusions and stuff but all good now!

Glad to hear the problem is solved.

So it was working fine on reboot but last night i shut pc off and this morning it’s not working again. Then i suddenly remembered the Windows Power Option setting “fast startup” which i turned off months ago. Turns out this is not Avast’s fault but the Windows build update CHANGED MY POWER SETTING in control panel to DEFAULT and turned on “fast startup”. Which means the pc didn’t actually shut down completely, instead it was in hybrid sleep mode so the Avast shields didn’t resume on boot.

This kind of thing shouldn’t be legal, changing my settings without even asking. Microsoft even changed the nVidia control panel settings for Physix. changed it from my GPU to CPU. Also uninstalled my program without even asking.
Not to mention they also reinstalled all their crapware apps with the “update”.
Unbelievable.
