have you tried avast repair and reboot ?

Windows, Add Remove programs, select ‘avast! Anti-Virus,’ click the Change/Remove button from the pop-up window, scroll down to Repair, click next and follow.

@ Pondus

My advice to post logs here. We already did an install from scratch running aswclear.exe and download a fresh copy of Avast!.

He said not to have had another AV installed ever since he reinstalled W 7 from CD so I though a malware hidden partition or some other error in the system.

I am hopping Essexboy can see something in his logs.

OTL has left another log called Extras

I think this is a Zero Access Infection, but Essexboy will confirm if it is or not 8)

If possible, do not want to reinstall windows, has many updates and I have many games installed direct download

That is what the malware removal specialist would be working towards, cleaning the system where ever possible without the nuclear option (reinstall). For the greatest majority of instances (depends on malware infection) that is what they achieve.

This is a timely reminder that you should have a backup and recovery strategy in place to cater for emergencies.

here are

MBR is good, and there are no apparent malware signs in the log…

At this stage I can see no reason as to why it is not starting

When you try to start it what error is given ?

About a month ago, don’t change nothing in the pc to happen

@Thediabl0

Essexboy no encuentra nada malo con tu MBR ( Master Boot Record ) o infeccion en tus reportes del ordenador.

Essexboy te pregunta que error sale o que dice Avast! cuando tratas de activar el Escudo de Web.

Essexboy did not find anything wrong with your MBR or infection in the logs.
Essexboy is asking if you get any errors or alerts when trying to activate the Web Shield.

@Essexboy.

Funny it was clean. I thought the inability of the Shiel to activate was caused by infeccion. He has tried everything and still get that only shield not working. He told me he only runs Windows Firewall. No other security program. Recently installed OS. What else ?

@iroc9555 ok xD

Essexboy, shows no error screen, simply does nothing.

We can try another programme although this is a bit of a fishing expedition … It will show me all the relevant drivers

[*]When finished, it shall produce a log for you.
[*]Please include the C:\ComboFix.txt in your next reply.

Notes:

  1. Do not mouse-click Combofix’s window while it is running. That may cause it to stall.
  2. Do not “re-run” Combofix. If you have a problem, reply back for further instructions.
  3. If after the reboot you get errors about programmes being marked for deletion then reboot, that will cure it.

Please make sure you include the combo fix log in your next reply as well as describe how your computer is running now

ready.

All drivers look OK and no hidden services are showing… I can see no reason as to why webshield does not work

if you do not see it … I less xD

Just to confirm … You have uninstalled, run aswClear and then re-installed.
I can see no indication of another AV or Firewall

Yes, uninstalled, ccleaner too, re-start in segure mode for run aswclear, restart and re-installed Avast.

Download AdwCleaner from here to your desktop
http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/AdwCleaner-Download-212632.html use this link as Avast is curently calling the latest version a trojan (not true it is clean)

Run AdwCleaner and select Delete

Once done it will ask to reboot, allow this
On reboot a log will be produced please attach that
