Disable Widows Defender? Insall Spyware Doc?

I have a new computer and have trial version of Norton av
However I o not think it was installed.

I installed Avast AV home pro
I put it on high settings
Is that it?

Do I need to do more??
Also is it a good idea to install Spyware Doctor?
Will this conflict with Avast??

I also have Windows firewall activated is this total setup good?

its important that it really is not installed/uninstalled correctly and completely, because otherwise it’s probably going to cause problems…

Thats basically good, yes :slight_smile:

Relating to Avast! you don’t have to do anything anymore (probably entering a license key if you didn’t do that already).
Spyware Doctor should not conflict with Avast!.

If you use XP you should install an other firewall (because of security reasons)…
the vista-firewall is better than the xp-firewall but although it would be better to install an other one…

EDIT: i don’t think that you have to disable Windows Defender - you can use spyware doc additionally to windows def… however you’d like to :slight_smile:

i personally use Comodo allthough its only in English and i prefer German…
