Can we disable the phone app look of Avast 8? I hate that phone app look.
Can we select which scan we want to use as the default scan? I would prefer the default scan to be a Full system scan, not the Quick scan.
If these 2 things are not possible then I’m sticking with Avast! 7, I can’t stand the way 8 looks. I hope you’re not forcing us to upgrade to 8 if we have no choice with the way it looks and behaves.
The default scan can be set on the Security Tab | Antivirus. Click on the scan you want to be the default, and click the “More details”. Then you will see a place to set a checkmark “Default scan”.
The interface is not configurable.
Thank you for that, but I still can’t get past the abysmal phone app/Windows 8 dumbed-down interface. I guess I’ll learn to live with it if I still want to use Avast! but I gotta tell you, it looks horrible.
I wish there was a way to switch between interfaces.
Probably looks great on a phone, with big buttons to push for the techno-tards in the world.

Just click the Security Tab in the metro’esk screen and you will get your warm security blanket back with more useful information.
All of the avast innards can be accessed through the Security, Maintenance, Support and Settings options.
