DISGUSTING CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

DON’T BUY IT!! I purchased SecureLine VPN after the 3 day trial and it worked great! Then I purchased it and could not load the license key (Microsoft Fault Buckets due to my upgrade from XP to 8.1 apparently). Tech support wanted 150 bucks on top of SecureLine price. I called B.S. since I have many other products purchased and loaded on this machine. I asked for a REFUND of my money it is NOW 4 WEEKS WITHOUT A RESPONSE OR A REFUND. My support ticket has gone completely UNANSWERED. I HAVE RECOMMENDED THIS PRODUCT FOR THE PAST 15 YEARS!! WHENEVER I FIX A PROBLEM ON FRIENDS AND FAMILY COMPUTERS THIS IS THE ANTI-VIRUS I PUT IN. I even purchased Avast Pro Business for my organization. How can AVAST continue you failing its customers. I see now they have a long history of faulting on customers!

upgrade from XP to 8.1 apparently
That is not possible. You need to upgrade to Vista first. Even better is a clean installation of Windows 8.1.

You did not call avast, but a third party. As has been explained over and over again already. Please use the search option before posting.

Did you create multiple tickets or changed the original one? If so, you where put back at the bottom of the stack as also has been explained many times.

There is no such version.

Please mention your ticket number(s) in your next post here.

Using respectful language and in great detail contact nekvapil@avast.com concerning third party support.

The purchase of SecureLine VPN is a 5-step process.

  1. Purchase and immediately download the License file.
  2. Try numerous times to reference the file from Avast! to activate your SecureLine VPN service, possibly over a matter of days while you frantically search for a phone number to call for help. >:(
  3. Have a V-8 moment as you finally realize that they downloaded you a teaser License file with 0 bytes of size, which is not accepted by the Avast! program. ::slight_smile:
  4. Email Avast! and ask then for a replacement License file.
  5. Receive by email and install the real 2 kb License file and enjoy your remaining time with the service. :-\

Following their directions would probably be less stressful

Asking for help here on the forum is still the easiest way.
