Disk 100% during scans.

Hello,

I recently installed Avast Free Antivirus on my Windows 10 64bit system and am curious about something. Why is it that when I run a scan it shows my disk being used at 100%? My pc is a gaming rig, and my ssd is a good one, it’s a Western Digital ssd. I have ran other anti-virus software on my pc that take the disk usage to only about 70 % at the most. I restarted the system after installation. What’s the problem here?

Are previous used AV fully removed using vendors removal tool / instructions

I don’t see a problem.
If others don’t use the disk 100% when scanning they are loading a lot in memory and than scan or they are slow. :slight_smile:
