I want to test avast with disk imaging. I have read that I need to run aswImgPr.exe prior to imaging. Where do i find this utility?
And, do I run it on the client, which makes sense to me, because in the documentation it says to run it on the master.

I would like to know if this utility allows to recover an avast installation AFTER restoring a partition image.
avast is the only program that I use that, when I recover from a partition image, detects a ‘copy’ (although it was the original partition being restored to the same partition space) of the program and locks itself. Seems an anti piracy feature.
It will be good if we have a tool to detect this situation.
from what I have read, it changes the agent GUID, and that’s all.

Sorry… I’m not used to this feature/technology. Can you teach me or, at least, post a link to where I could learn more about the ‘changes’ and the ‘agent GUID’.
