DNS resolution

I have Kasperspy installed, and know it should not relly run alongside Avast, but have had no problems for 6mth.
Suddenly I am getting this DNS threat secured. It is every few minutes,and I am not sure what is being blocked, or how to allow Kasper.

Aside from the fact it isn’t wise to run two active AVs at the same time, it is like two dogs and one bone, they can conflict. You may have been lucky in this regard.

Kaspersky would be phoning home to updated its virus database and Avast may find that suspect.

Had you elected to select See details it may have given more information on what is/was trying to make the connection.

Recommendation, chose one resident antivirus and uninstall the other.
There is a bit of a worldwide issue regarding Kaspersky a Russian company being banned in some countries.

The “see details” just let me see a code below it, for Avast support. Avast do not offer support for the free version, telling you to go on this forum.
The Kasperspy databases are up to date and when I ask it to check, it does not throw up the DNS error message. Do we know what a DNS threat is?

I don’t use the Avast One product and was unaware, that the see details was not very informative.

That said the Alert is saying URL Blacklisted - I don’t know why that is - Sanctions is a possibility, but that is a guess on my part.
So I tried to connect to try and gather more information, this resulted in the Avast alert window attached (with the details option selected).
I also got a warning by Firefox, which I have set up to only connect to HTTPS sites and this alerted also, attached image 2. Also note the process involved in the connection, svchost.com and not firefox as I would have expected. This may be how I have it set it to prevent http connections.

That doesn’t change the point about it being inadvisable two Active Antivirus Products installed.

Outside of what I have already posted as an Avast User there is little else I can do.
