Sorry for asking another question, but i’m very surprise that Avast isn’t proposing a multi-device license. Almost all the other antivirus vendors are doing so, so how come Avast is using an very old system such as license file ?
Is there any plan for Avast to offer a multi-device plan that covers PC, Mac, Android and iOS ? Or at least make an activation and online management decent enough ?
Currently they don’t it has been mentioned before, but I don’t know how far this has progressed.
One of the problems as I see it would be for the Mobile Apps, for instance Avast Mobile Security Pro for Android is only available through Google Play store and payment is made there. As an avast user not an Avast Team Member I’m not privy to this information.
I don’t know if this is the same for iOS (having to get it through the Apple Store, though this would be somewhat different and possibly easier if (as I think) as they Mac & iOS are sourced from the same App Store.
I have to agree with the original poster. The ONLY thing keeping me from a 100% commitment to Avast at this point is what it would cost to protect every computer in the house. I don’t care so much about the mobile protection, but 5 PCs and 2 Macs are expensive with Avast when the competition has 5-10 device licenses for a similar price point to Avast’s Premium / Ultimate pricing. If I could even get my 5 PCs protected with a multi-device license, I’d cancel my current Norton sub and give Avast my money.
