I wonder if I buy the Avast Pro Antivirus, do I need an anti-spyware protection program like e.g. Ad-Aware too? Or is this already included with Avast Pro Antivirus?
Ad-Aware is not very good anymore.
Malwarebytes (MBAM) is a good companion to avast! Pro.

Ad-Aware is not very good anymore.i would not say that...they have improved the detecion very much after including Ikarus AV engine but that may be a problem as that AV engine may conflict with avast..... anyway as said Malwarebytes works fine with avast and it is also the best malware remover
I’m reading this on Internet last months. Indeed, seems we can’t say they’re outdated now. They have improved a lot. Just check the last comparatives and the reactive/proactive detection rate of it.
It is also big… 121mb download ??? malwarebytes is only 9mb
and if you look at Norman Ad-Aware (license version) it does not have the AV engine or the mail scan. it is still 56mb

It’s not 121MB download anymore. It’s reduced to 12MB installer file which then downloading about 80MB program file to finish the installation.
