Do I need Windows Firewall?

I just upgraded to Avast! Internet Security. It has a firewall with it, so should I turn off windows firewall?

Hi, I emailed Vlk earlier about advantages of leaving both on and these are his responses:

Hi there,

there’s no simple answer to this question. We leave the built-in Windows firewall on as it doesn’t do any harm to do so. While some firewalls may conflict with each other, the avast firewall + Windows firewall do not (we have tested that many times). For example, me myself have both running.

As I said in the email, I don’t know of any specific advantages.

So to answer your question you can leave both on without any problems. For those wondering, there are no known advantages of doing so.
