Do you get....

Do you ever get tired of helping people to solve there computer related problems? I mean being on these forums and not getting paid. I understand its nice to do it cause I for one do it.

I don’t get tired of it much ::slight_smile: I’m a computer Software/Hardware guy.

Yes, from time to time ::slight_smile:
What should we do when this happens? Give up? Sometimes I really get depressed :stuck_out_tongue:

Very occasionally when as someone asks for help gets an answer they either don’t like or won’t try. Or as Tech said gives up very easily, why ask.

But probably the worst when someone asks for help receives it and never bothers to say if it worked or not so that it can help others.

Hello,

There are other benefits. You do it for yourself. You go to a forum to get wiser, to learn to defend yourself better after being compromised. It is an ongoing process. You learn to search better for solutions others have found. You learn about things, definitions ergo insight why things are as they are. That others benefit from that process too is just an extra bonus, not pre-determined. And you share what you think is good, either to find that others agree with you, they oppose your views or present the case in a different way, or they add new information or take away your blind angles.

What are the results: I search better, I know more about security in general, I look at securing a computer in a totally different way than before. The forum has made me grow in these things.

Dear fellow members, what is your experience after a few hundred postings. What did it do with you?

your anti-malware friend,

Thats what I do. Not that I came to these forums to get list of programs or… tips. I know alot about everything but I’m limited ::).

But I like helping out as much as I can in days time. yes, I have had a few posts to where they never thx me and say nothing back but I find that ok.
