do you need to delete old updates?

Hello,
I am new to Avast! Do we have to delete the old update files from our computers and if we do where are they to be found? Or does Avast! automatically get rid of old files when you download latest update? Many thanks.

Please don’t delete anything :slight_smile: - the updater should keep track of what it really needs and should delete the unused packages just after getting new ones… in short, no need to do anything manually.

VLK, our Grand Guru is right on the money.
I would go a bit further, and set the Avast defaults to automtically download BOTH database updates and Program updates.
This way, you just sit back, surf the web, and do it worry free. Avast is on the job!

and it does a great one at that!!
